About Me

I am a communications professional who specializes in creative development, strategic communications, and community outreach. A native of New Mexico, I am passionate about advocating for opportunities for underrepresented communities, particularly in the area of educational access.

I currently serve as Public Relations and Outreach Coordinator for GEAR UP New Mexico, a federal educational access grant at the New Mexico Higher Education department that serves more than 10,000 students across the state with college and career readiness services. I was named GEAR UP New Mexico Professional of the Year for 2017.

I previously worked as Public Relations Specialist for Northern New Mexico College in the rural community of Española, where I served as media liaison for the College and assisted in brand development. Other past roles include media intern for the Las Cruces Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and congressional intern for Representative Ben Ray Lujan (NM) via the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute

I have bachelor degrees in Government and Journalism & Mass Communications from New Mexico State University and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Communications and Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational and Strategic Communications from Gonzaga University

I enjoy travel, pilates, cooking, reading, art, and spending time with friends and family. I currently live in beautiful and historic Santa Fe, NM.
