Directs statewide media campaigns around GEAR UP goals and develop printed and electronic materials related to college access. Writes and distributes publicity materials for distribution to state and local outlets and audiences. Manages GEAR UP social media channels and develops and maintains branding for the organization.
GEAR UP New Mexico is a federal college access and high school completion grant by the United States Department of Education that serves 13,000 minority and low-income students and families across the state from grade 7 through the first year of college.

Worked in the Communications and Marketing under the Office of Institutional Advancement to Provide editorial, media-buying and planning, marketing, publicity and community-outreach services for the college. Co-hosted the Live@Northern bi-weekly radio program and acts as media personality/host for a variety of events.

Worked for Congressman Ben Ray Lujan, D-03 as a constituent correspondent, recorded and responded to constituent comments and concerns, drafted policy letters to constituents, briefed the Congressman and staff on Congressional hearings, and gave tours of the Capitol Building to visitors.
Chosen as one of 32 CHCI interns out of 700 applicants in the Nation and territories, and the only one from New Mexico. Through this program, I received extensive leadership training, networking experience with government leaders, and gained business and professional skills and knowledge.
